HKUSPACE Mediation Practices Alumni Society

Objectives of the Association:

  • to provide networking opportunities for those who are interested in mediation;
  • to help members to sharpen their knowledge and skills in mediation;
  • to keep up-to-date on the latest development with regard to the used of mediation in Hong Kong;
  • to promote and enhance public understanding of the mediation profession;  and
  • to provide a unified voice for the graduates on issues relevant to the profession of mediation.

Membership’s Qualification:

  • the Society should welcome all those who have studied a mediation course offered by HKUSPACE including the English and Chinese Mediation Practice courses as well as other short courses;  and
  • with the approval from the Committee that students taking mediation courses outside HKSPACE, who are contributory to the Society, shall be eligible as associate member.

Initial Plan of Upcoming Activities and Services:

  • to arrange revision classes for study group prior assessment;
  • to arrange related talks and lectures;
  • to arrange (free-of-charge) mediation services to groups-in-need  like the elderly or lower income, to members who are newly accredited mediators in order to gain experience through field practice.
  • to sort a regular time and location for Society’s activities including meetings, role-play practicing etc.
